When you let us take care of your holiday on Gozo, you do not
need to look any further. We will help you organise your holiday to
enjoy the most of Gozo. Besides we can be in your contact throughout
your stay here.
Gozo is an island about 9 miles by 4 miles. The sister island of
the larger island Malta, Gozo is situated about 3 miles of Malta,
with Comino, a smaller island resting quietly in between. This means
that we are within 5 minutes away from each other all day long.
Gozo is described by many who visit, as the island of calypso,
the island where the time stood still. The name calypso is derived
from the Greek mythology. This makes our island hundreds of years
old.
Ggantija and other caves links our history to the stone-age. We
boast of the oldest standing temple in Europe and the Mediterranean.
Occupation by the British, Arabs, Normans, Poenicians, etc makes our
culture rich of handmade material and traditional arts and crafts.
Gozo will not only takes you back in time, but will give you a
relaxed and romantic holiday.
It is for this reason that we hire out our modern finished 18th
century converted Farmhouses. Each farmhouse has its
unique story to narrate. Should the walls be able to speak, only
they will be able to narrate the adventures, and less unfortunate
ones of our ancestors. Being mainly a farming community, these
farmhouses are scattered all over the island, previously occupied
only by the farm animals.
These farmhouses have only been slightly modified to accommodate
modern amenities, like fresh water supply, electricity and a private
pool in the previously large garden for the grazing of the
herds.
These farmhouses are situated very close to village centres,
those making it ideal to mingle with the friendly Gozitan
neighbourhood. There you will be able to live some of the
traditional life lived in Gozo. People are very friendly, and it is
very easy to sit and chat in the evening breeze.
Two and three bedroom
Apartments are also available in the
tourist villages of Xlendi and Marsalforn. With breath-taking views
of the Gozo countryside, and sea views of the bays, these are an
inexpensive way to spend your days by the beach, and enjoy evening
meals in one of the restaurants.
Hiring a car will take you over every
inch of the island. Although driving on the left side
of the road
will be a new experience, it should not bother you. The roads are
not usually very busy, the speeds are low and with the road network
clearly marked, it makes it very easy to drive once you have gone
over the first few miles. The people are very friendly and will be
more than pleased to provide directions if asked for.
Last but not least it is a must to take a Boat Trip round the island. This way not only will
you be able to enjoy Gozo from inland, but also from offshore.
So book your holiday in Gozo now. Reserve your
dates while they are still available. Don't loose this opportunity
to visit Gozo. We guarantee you will want to visit over and over
again.
